PlastiSpan® EFS Insulation


PlastiSpan® EFS Insulation is used in Cathedral Ceiling, Continuous Insulation, Exterior Foundation, Interior Basement Walls, Basement Floor, Under Slab, Hydronic, EIFS and handi-pac Packaging & Display.


The material properties of PlastiSpan® EFS insulation used as a component
in exterior insulation and finish systems meet or exceed the requirements
for expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation as specified in CAN/ULC-S701,
Standard for Thermal Insulation, Polystyrene, Boards and Pipe Covering.

1Material properties meet or exceed requirements for CAN/ULC-S701, type 1 and are third party certified under a quality listing program administered by Intertek Testing Services.
2Values are minimum per 25-mm (1-inch) of thickness at mean temperature of 24 °C (75 °F).
3Values are maximum for 25-mm (1-inch) thick samples with natural skins intact. Lower values will result for thicker materials.
4The water absorption laboratory test method involves complete submersion under a head of water for 96 hours. The water absorption value above is applicable to specific end-use design requirements only to the extent that the end-use conditions are similar to test method requirements.

The dimensions, dimensional tolerances and block aging requirement for PlastiSpan® EFS insulation meet requirements specified in of CAN/ULC-S701, ANNEX A – Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Thermal Insulation Requirements For Use In Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) as detailed in Tables 2 and 3 below.
